Anne Carmack is a mixed race, Los Angeles based self-taught writer and multidisciplinary artist whose work seeks to explore themes of personal narrative, individual and cultural identity, philosophy and spirituality by wholly embracing a wide range of media including painting, photography, filmmaking, storytelling, screenwriting, poetry & performing. In 2024 she was selected by the City Of Santa Monica, California to be the inaugural Poet Laureate and is currently in her second term. Her search for something still undefined continues.
